Sterling Farms is a new homes community about ten minutes outside the city of Jacksonville. Initial construction began on Sterling Farms in 2008 with the potential for roughly 200 home sites; but high demand allowed developers to expand in 2014. There are presently more than 500 craftsman- and ranch-style homes in Sterling Farms. The community offers one and two story family homes, with 3-4 bedrooms and 2-2.5 baths. They range in size from 1250-3000 sqft. Homes in the Sterling Farms subdivision cost between $170,000 and $280,000. Sterling Farms is an attractive neighborhood for its proximity to the Piney Green entrance of Camp Lejeune, and county-only taxes, as it is outside the city limits of Jacksonville. The neighborhood offers a clubhouse/community center and swimming pool, and lighted sidewalks for quiet evening strolls. Sterling Farms is about fifteen minutes from Crystal Coast Beaches, forty-five minutes from the Pine Knoll Shores Aquarium, and just over an hour to exciting, historic Wilmington. Young residents of Sterling Farms would attend Morton Elementary, Hunters Creek Middle, and White Oak High within the Onslow County school district.
